A Charity for the People of Kenya

Kenya is a beautiful country visited by millions to experience the beauty of the wildlife and the sunny beaches. Yet behind the tourist attractions you can find people living in extreme poverty, denied the basic living conditions that we take for granted.

Asterias is working to improve the lives of people living in these deprived areas. Do you think it is right for people to live without clean water? To not have access to a basic education? To have difficulty in supporting their families?

You can help! How? By supporting the work of Asterias through giving, of both your time and your money; by prayer and by raising awareness of our work in your local area.

What Can I Do?

Throw a party for Asterias! - Three young ladies, instead of accepting gifts that they did not need, each had a party for Asterias on their 21st birthdays asking friends and family to make a donation to Asterias rather than buy gifts.

Perhaps you might do something similar? We can supply Asterias literature - Please contact us for further information.

Volunteer - Asterias cannot function without the help of our "Friends of Asterias". We need people who are committed to promoting our work among their friends, in church, in work and in school. You do not have to work full time to make a difference.

Why not organise a sponsored event, a coffee morning or start up a "Friends of Asterias" group in your area? We can offer you support in whatever you decide to do, from advertising on our website and in our quarterly newsletter to providing literature and sponsorship forms.
